Look to the skies!

It's Wonderful Wednesday and that means another "anything goes" challenge.

My friend asked me to make a card for her dad for his birthday.  The only thing she gave me to go on is that he was in the Air Force and that he has a blonde Yorkie dog that he takes EVERYWHERE with him.  Not a lot to go on there... but..... I knew I had the PERFECT stamp set to make the card... I used..... "Sky's the Limit!"

I Just love how this one turned out.  I had that sweet little airplane charm and the cool bakers twine to add, along with all of those fun clouds! I used a die to cut out the image and of course I used a ton of pop dots (I really should buy stock in a pop dot company).

Ok, so I hope that this inspires you.... go forth and craft you wonderful people! Tootles!

Wait... NOT a card?

Every month there is a Krafty Scrappy challenge that is "anything but a card." We all know that I have a lot of trouble doing this.... like A LOT! I mean, I make cards, that 's what I do. So when you tell me to make something that 's not a card... I instantly question our friendship...... but....

Ok, so my second love, is my planner! Yeah I'm one of "those" people. I love the tangible.  I don't put dates and appointments and stuff like that in my phone, I like to have it on paper. .....DUHHHHH Jammie, you dork (yeah I call myself names), make a darn planner layout! Sheesh!

Ok, so I used distress inks and a sponge with a stencil to make the could background.  I stamped the trolls on coloring card stock and colored them up all bright and fun to go with the colouds. I added some stickers and Washi tape, this is obviously BEFORE i wrote in everything that I have to do this week. But you get the idea!

Here's the deets on the challenge:
1. Create ANY scrap page, Project Life Layout or pocket page cards, altered item, etc. JUST NOT A CARD!
2. MUST be a NEW creation (created on or after this post date)
3. MUST use Kraftin Kimmie stamps to be entered in to the drawing.
4. You have a month to play, enter AS MANY TIMES as you'd like!
5. PRIZES?!? Of course there are prizes!! Once we've reached 5 entries, we draw a random winner (winner will be drawn at the close of the challenge)!!
6. You have until Monday, September 25th @ 12:00 pm Eastern to get your entries in.
7. Be sure to also share your creations on our Krafty Friends FB page so we can all drool and OOHHHH and AHHHHH!

So, yeah, it's NOT a card! Hooray for me! Now let's see what ya got! Make something  other than a card and enter the challenge! I can't wait to see what you make!  Tootles!

Use a what?!?!?!!?

Ok, we all know that Saturday Challenges at KKS mean a "themed challenge." It's fun, it gets you creative, makes ya think...... but when I read that I had to "use a doily" on my card I thought, "what the heck?!?!?"

Ok, so I scoured my house, craft stashes, asked a few friends, went to the craft store (twice) (both times I got a lot of other things, then got home and realized that I forgot to look for doilies) and still had no doilies.  What the heck is a girl to do?  OOOOHHHHHH!!! IDEA!!!!!

Ya see what I did there? I used my Cricut machine to cut a "doily" into a piece of acitate! Oh yeah! I colored up Alice in Wonderland all Halloween style and fussy cut her, because I'm pretty sure that fussy cutting is my new form of therapy.

Ok, so I was a little bit of a rebel yet again, I'm sure that doesn't surprise any of you at all. But I couldn't find a real doily and this was a creative way to still be able to play along.  I hope that you can use this as inspiration and play along in the challenge with us this week!  Have a great weekend... Tootles!

Who's ready for a Comeback????

Oh yeah, Oh yeah, Happy dance time! It's Krafty Komeback day! Woohoo! .....and the lucky stamp is........ drumroll please..... WITCHY-POO!!!!!
Ok, So I didn't have Witchy-Poo, so when I found out that she was the Krafty Komeback I was elated! She is so adorable! Here's my card.....
Mindy Eggen taught me how to make a could background with Distress Inks, so I used the ones in the photo and got with it! I stamped the sentiment directly not he background and tied a ribbon around it.  I used pop dots to add some detention to the card, and I colored little witchy poo here with acid green skin just like Wizard of Oz! He he he!

Ok, scoop up little miss Witchy-poo while you can and get to crafting just in time for All Hallows Eve! Hooray! Have a wonderful Friday, see ya here tomorrow for a Saturday Challenge! Tootles!

A Sweet Little Zombie

Welcome to Wednesday, ain't it grand?  I'm so glad that this week is half way over! ha ha ha! Seriously though, I'm just ready to lock myself int he Room of Requirement and have a little me time.

I think that my mood was a little dark when I sat down to make this card.... because our sweet little Rosie Fairy has taken a turn to the dark side.....
I found this scrap of vivid damask print paper and used it as my inspiration for this card.  I figured with Halloween just around the corner, that this little fairy could dawn some grey skin and be thinking of sinister things. I added a few flowers because, I mean, she IS a fairy after all. I stamped the sentiment directly on a little wooden sign that I've had in my crafty stash for years.

I hope that this little card inspires you to play along with us this Wednesday, remember it's always "anything goes." make something fun and spooky and just have a good time. I know I feel better now after creating something a little "different." Can't wait to see what you make! Tootles!

Just Chillin' with my Gnomies

Ok, it's Saturday, and that means a themed challenge at KKS, this week's theme??????? A SHAPED CARD!!! Gasp!
Oh the horror! I SUCK at shaped cards... I mean, square is a shape right? How about a rectangle? Well crap..... what am I supposed to do???? Why, God, WHYYYYYY?????
I did what any self respecting crafter would do in this horrible predicament..... I grabbed a cup of coffee and went straight to Pinterest.... after deciding on a workout routine, that I was going to eat only healthy food, I was re-doing my laundry room, oh and that dessert is totally happening.... oh yeah, a shaped card.... sigh..... searching, searching...... WOAH! Call off the Dogs, the search is over!

Behold....... a "shaped" card:
Yeah, yeh, yaaaahhhh.... I know, it's not really a shaped card.... but I'm going to say that this qualifies! I mean, come on! I used the incredibly cute Whimsical Gnomes set and colored them all in with my Copic markers of course. The papers are all from Doodlebug, and the felt trees are from recollections.

I really hope you like my "card" and that it inspires you to play along.  You can be a rebel like me, and make a "shaped" card and I totally can't wait to see what you come up with! You will have until August 25th at 11:55 pm EST to get your entries in! Tootles!

All my best friends are witches!

Hi Krafty People!!!
Guess what it's time for? Yeah time for that Krafty Chamber of Secrets to crrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkk open and reveal another one of it's secrets! This time it's a set that is/was crazy popular and so incredibly cute!  It is: ALL MY BEST FRIENDS ARE WITCHES!!!!!
I created this card by stamping this fun and spooky girl on Copic Express-it yardstick and coloring her with my Copic markers. I used Stickles glitter on the potion to make it sparkle.  I then used my Distress Oxide Inks, more Stickles, and Mixed Media yardstick from Canson for the background.  The potion paper is from Doodlebug of course and then just some cool black twine as an accent.
Copic Markers list: E000, E00, E02, E11, R20, BV29, C7, BV23, V17, V09, V06, V12, V12, BG75, BG49, BG15, BG10, W3, W1, W0

I sure hope you like it!  So now RUN (don't walk) to claim yours today! No seriously, there's only a limited number of these available! Once those sell, you'll be put on a pre-order list, so when more are made you can still (maybe) get one.  THAT'S why you need to get one asap! AAHHHHHH!!!

Hope you all have a spooky Halloween! Tootles!

Let the good times roll

It's wednesday...... yup, mid week, we're half way there!  So pour some coffee and take a look at all of the awesome Wonderful Wednesday projects that the DT has created.  Today I'm using the super cute stamp set "Let the Good Times Roll."  It was retired for a while, but Kimmie was able to get a few sets remade in Red Rubber!!!!!!!! Woo Hoo!!!! So, if you don't already own this set, roll on over to the KKS site and scoop one up before they are gone again!!!!

I had such a blast coloring this image, it really was fun. I used some papers from Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) that I thought really went with the image, and I cut some clouds out of various colors of white yardstick on my Cricut machine to make the clouds.  FUN!

Hope you are inspired to participate in our Wonderful Wednesday challenge as well!  As always, it's "anything goes!" So grab the closest stamp, and get to creating! I can't wait to see what you make! Tootles!

Happy Fall Y'all

Ok, so it's hop day.  By now you are in awe of all the serious cuteness that has happened this week, and perhaps you have already scooped some of them up to be your very own.  I'm here to show you one last project for the week so make sure you don't miss out on anything! he he he

I decided to use Happy Fall Y'all again to make another super "fall" feeling card!  Here she is:
This paper is from Echo Park and I thought it would just be perfect for a fall themed card.  I used a couple of black and gray circles to accent the image and colored her in orange and yellow for the season.  I also used these felt pumpkins from Martha Stewart Crafts to add a little fun to the card as well. I used twine on the sentiment to make it look like she was holding a sign! Super fun.

I hope you all have had a fun week with us, don't forget to hop around the blogs today and check out all of the Fall goodness that the DT and GDT members have created for you! Tootles!

You're a Hoot

So, back for more Eh? Well, welcome to day three of Krafty releases from KKS! Today we are featuring this adorable little set of super cute owls called "You're a Hoot!" Just check them out....

Here's my creation with these little cuties:
and a closeup:

I simply took a craft tag and tied some twine on it, then I stamped and colored my image and fussy cut it out...I adhered it to the tag and did the same with the sentiment, done and done! Super quick and super simple, and SUPER cute!

I think that this will make a super cute teacher's gift for back to school! I hope that my son's teacher just loves it.

Ok so you know the drill by now, hop around to all the blogs listed below and then don't forget to go to the release party on Facebook! I'll see ya all there! Tootles!

T-R-O-U-B-L-E

Ermergersh I love this set!  Ok, yeah seriously, I adore these sweet little trolls!  How stinking cute are they?!?!?!?!? This is day 2 of the Release at KKS and I think this is the cutest set of stamps ever!!!! Here's the set: (it's called Troll Trouble)

...and here's my card:
To make this card I cut a bunch of circles using a Gina Marie die called Stitched Circles and then I used some Doodlebug paper and satin ribbon.  I also used about 5000 pop dots to add a bunch of dimension to this card.  Super fun and so bright! EEEEKKKK! Love them!

Ok, so once you get over how cute they are, hop around to all of the DT's and GDT's blogs and leave some love! One lucky comment will win a big ol prize on release day! Woot Woot!  Tootles!

Who's ready for a release?

Oh yeah, it's release week baby!  Fall is in the air (well not really, not in Idaho at least, it's hotter than heck and totally still summer) and it's my favorite season.  I love fall because I get to enjoy the cool mornings and the warm afternoons, I get to drink coffee all day (yeah I know, I do that anyways, hush) and I have a birthday in the fall, and i get to start getting ready for Christmas!  All good things!

This release has all the good stuff about fall and you'll see over the next few days that it's all just too cute!  Here's the very first set... ready?????

Aptly named, this set is called "Happy Fall Y'all" and features a sweet little girl and all of her favorite fall things.

To make this card I started with some distress inks and a dampened sponge. I swirled the sponge on the paper after dabbing it in the ink to make that gradient background.  After letting it dry I used the pumpkin stamp from the set and stamped it all over to make the background.  I used the same sponge to add a little bit of ink to the wooden leaves as well. then I distressed the edges of the paper and glued them all in place. It was quite simple and lots of fun to make.

Well, that's it for day one, I hope that you love this set, I'll catch ya back here tomorrow for some more release week goodness!! Don't forget to hop around to all the the DT and GDT blogs all week because one lucky commenter will receive a sweet prize at the release party on Facebook. Tootles!
