Day 365!!!

Today is day 365 on 365 Cards!!! I can't believe it came so fast.... oh wait, it's just because I've only been with them for 3 weeks!!! hahahahaaha oh well... anyways, it was a super sketchy Sunday and it's a very clean sketch, simple, and those of you who know me, know that I don't do so well with that. I'm better when I can put a whole bunch of stuff on my card... but here's my crack at it anyways. Hope you enjoy! Can't wait for the next 365! woot woot!

Thank you for your order...

Today at 365 cards is the last day of scraplifting style from the DT. It has been fun. I must confess that this has been a super busy day for me, baking cakes and cookies and making trifles, but I did manage to find the time to get the card done. Although I didn't follow Vicky's style quite as closely as I followed the others, I still think this card fits. Here's Vicky's card:

She is described as sharp and clean and always stamping on a white background.

So I went with that, here's my card:

My colors are not quite "soft" like hers, but I lifter her idea of stamping on white and coloring it to match the background, I also used her layering idea of using the same colors in the pic as in the layers. I'm using this as a thank you card for the girl who ordered the cake that I made today. Well, lots of work left to do, not to mention the mountain of laundry!!! ugh..... I just wanna go to bed..... night night!

Life is uncertain...

Today it Sophies' day over at 365 cards. We are told to make something clean and simple, yet totally beautiful! Sure, sure, I'm all over that one! Sounds easy until you start putting stuff on a card.... then it's a bit harder than it seems. This calls for a shopping trip!!!! (I hate it when that happens!) So, I went to JoAnne's to try and find something specific; texture plates. I know, I know, it's sacrilege to own a Big Shot and not have a single texture plate.... so today I fixes that problem! ha ha ha As you can see in my card below, I pretty much CASED her idea completely... but added a cute little die cut on a pop dot for dimension. Texture plates are harder to use than I had originally thought, and they require other items too, so I had to "make do" and run it through my Big Shot whatever way I could... just enough so you get the idea... it's something i"m going to have to work on! hahahaha Well, thanks for looking. I'm off to hang out with my little guy, it's super windy out and he has Toy Story in his little hands, how can I deny a mommy and son movie day? TTFN

Amy's Style says Spring!!!!!

365 Cards is having us emulate someone from the DT's style each day this week, today is Amy. Amy made the round card above and the cute little pinwheel on top.... that felt like spring tome... so I ran with it!!!!!

So, mine are not exactly cards, but I did use the 3D element that Amy suggested. PINWHEELS!!!!! How fun are these??? and they actually work! They were fun to make and the little boxes are full of springtime goodies. I'm going to give them to my mom since she was kind enough to have Evan over for a sleep over last night! Nana's are the best! hahahaha Thanks Amy for the inspiration!

sprINKles copy challenge #2

Sprinkles had a challenge today to find something on Mary Fish's blog "Stampin' Pretty" to CASE. I found these:

Since my 3-year-old is crazy in love with anything that has to do with trains, I decided to make him a little treat bag. Here's how mine ended up:

And here's one happy little boy! I filled it with marshmallows and M&M's; Evans favorite!!!!!
On to the next.......

Kopying Kristie

Here's my card for today's' challenge at 365 cards. Again today it was about CASE-ing someones' style. Kristie has a very simple, yet modern style. I know that pink and green and brown are very "in" colors right now, so I went with that, other than the colors, you can see I really did CASE her style, pretty much 100%!! ha ha ha Thanks Kristie for a great "thank you" card idea, one can NEVER have enough of those... now it's off to the gym, in the snow!!!!! TTYL

Evans' new Choo Choo!

One more post for today.... I just HAD to share this with you all... I made Evan a water bottle with a train on it! Needless to say; he was super happy! He carries it around with him and tells me "momma don't touch" whenever I come near it! hahahah who know that one stamp set could make a little guy so happy(ahhh the life of a 3 year old)? ha ha ha we'll find more things to make with it I'm sure! (so far it's been a watter bottle, lots of cards, a puzzle and a cake) Good night all, we'll see what tomorrow brings.

Sprinkles Jan Tink Rip-off Challenge

The challenge from Sprinkles is to find something from Jan Tink that you LOVE, and CASE it (Copy And Share Everything)! So, after a few days of perusing her blog, I came across this....How Stinking cute is that? OK, well since Sweet Sentiment is going to be a gift basket business that I'm starting (if anyone needs a gift basket, please get a hold of me!!!) I thought that I'd throw together a quick little something..... Now mind you; this is something that took me like 5 minutes to make, because I have a 3 year old pulling on me saying, "mommy get up." So anyways... here's my "Break up" basket!
I love this little pail that I found at the craft store the other day, and what a great way to use it!!!! I threw in some sweets and a drink mix and thought "this is for the girl who is breaking up with her boyfriend because he thinks she has too may shoes, she must have a pair of gym shoes in there, so here's a bunch of sweets that make her feel like she's indulging, but it's all low calorie/fat!!! She's gunna have shoes, and a rockin' hot bod!!!" Yeah, I know, long though... but hey, that's how my mind works! ahahahahah OK.... so as soon as my hubbs gets back from the gym, I'm off to the track to put in my 3 miles.... hopefully. I've got my bottle of water and my pocket full of cough drops... wish me luck!

Day 360 - Audrey's Signature Style

OK, so same premise as yesterday, however, today it's Audrey's style. I gotta say, I like how this girl thinks!!!! Here's Audrey's card:

I totally loved the way that she stamped a black image on top of the striped paper, and I love how she colored her other stamp, cute it out (leaving a white border) and it looks like she used pop dots to raise it off of the background. All of those items appealed to me, so in my card... I scrap lifted "em!!! hahahaha Well, they told me to!!!! Although I'm not as great at coloring as Audry is here, and I only have stampin' pastels, (or I suppose I could steal some of Evan's crayons for a while, I've done it before) I tried my hardest to color my image as "cute" as I could. I owe a lot of thanks to my Pal (Lena) for mailing me this image, it's adorable!

OK, without further adieu...... My card:
I think that it turned out rather cute.... if I do say so myself.... maybe I'm finally starting to feel better (after an entire week) and the card-making Gods are smiling down upon me once more. I love all the sarcastic sayings that I was able to find on various stamp sets in my collection. What's getting old without some old women making sure you FEEL old too! Ha ha ha Well I hope this makes you laugh too! I'm off to enjoy a little sunshine today. TTFN

Vintage 365

365 Cards today says: "Create a card with vintage style." This is a card that Gloria did as the example for today, we were to "scraplift" something from it..... so here' goes.......

I decided I wanted to go with the 50"s era, and I love the old coffee posters! So.... after an hour or so of finding appropriate ones on the Internet, this is what I came up with... I loved how Gloria had her pictures overlapping one another and all at angels, so I took that element from her. Additionally I liked how she grouped her brads in 3"s.... so I scraplifted that too....

I sure hope that I get well soon, I'm pretty sure that this virus I have has totally messed with my card-making prowess..... ho huh... cough, cough, I think I better go get my millionth cup of hot tea doused with honey. someday I'll be normal... wait.... strike that! ;) ha ha ha!

SSS # 358

Super Sketchy Sunday from 365 cards is here, and it's a doozie! ha ha ha I was feeling in the springtime mood since it's all sunny outside, and I got this super cute stamp in the $1 bin at Mike's yesterday. So here's what came of it.... I just used scraps of bright colors and layered them in the arrangement indicated by the sketch. Plain, simple, and no fuss. I HAD to add the flowers because the card seemed....empty. :( But I think they gave it the right amount of cheer. Anyway, my little guy is begging me to "mommy get up" so I guess my card making time is over today.... I still have to do that Sprinkles challenge too.... I think it's going to have to be "springy" too...hummmm......*scratches noggin*.... we'll see. TTFN!

Vicky"s Sketch

The sketch seems pretty easy, but I think the less there is on the sketch, the harder it is to actually produce a card that looks "finished." So, here's my take on Vicky's Sketch over at 365 cards today.... I added a few things, but I think the card needed them in order to look finished. Now it's off to Michael's to pick up some supplies for a cake and peruse the stamping aisle.... ho hum... a stampers collection is NEVER complete!!!

Day 356 - Sophie's Sketch

Ok, here's the sketch from 365 cards for today...
And, here's my take on it! I'm still not feeling up to par yet, so I think I may be a little off the mark, but it goes, and I had a second opinion (thanks Pal) to re-assure me that it fit the sketch. So, I guess I'm golden! hahaha I sure hope this bug leaves my family soon, it's sunny outside and I wanna go play! See ya all tomorrow.

Tony's Sketch

UPDATE: I'm using this card on Practical Scrappers sketch for blog hop week, Since I have not eneterd this card in any sites (like 365) or anything... I though why not use it?!?!? Thanks for the great idea from Tony, and for the sketch that it fits so well at practical scrappers! Yeay!
Oh wait!!! I forgot, I have one more card to post..... this is "Tony's Sketch" from lenasstampinladies.ning.com. Her Hubby came up with a sketch for all of the followers of her blog to do, and he told me last night that I had to "get on it!" She here it is tony, Just For You!!!! NOW can I go take a nap?????!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Amy's Sketch

So. this is my take on Amy's Sketch over at 365 cards today! I embossed the "Medallion" stamp from SU with "Blue tinsel" from Stampendous. I love embossing on black, just makes it shimmer all that much more! Thanks for looking! Now, I'm still not feeling well, so it's off to bed for me, maybe I can finally get in a nap....
